Have you already submitted an application?
Once submitted, the exemption application is processed within 69 days of receipt. Please note: if you have not yet received confirmation of your exemption application and/or if the vehicle in question does not meet the access criteria and travels inside the Low Emission Zone, the vehicle’s owner may be fined. If the request is accepted, the exemption is sent by post to the applicant (or by email if you are domiciled abroad).
More than 20 vehicles?
For companies or other types of organisations with a fleet of more than 20 vehicles, it is possible to submit a “mass” exemption application by contacting Bruxelles Fiscalité (Brussels Taxation) via info.fiscalite@fisc.brussels
N.B.
- The fact that your vehicle is equipped with a particulate filter does not in any way permit an exemption to travel in the LEZ. It is the Euro standards that count, even if you have installed a retrofit particulate filter.
- No exemption is provided for vehicles used for professional reasons (with the exception of those included in the above list).
- No modification on the engine of your vehicle can modify the Euro standard of the vehicle.
